Every year the Payne County Sheriff’s Office works with the area Community Outreach Programs (COPS) to do Shop with a Cop.

We start the morning by feeding the children breakfast at our local Chick Fil A.  We then proceed to Wal-Mart where the children shop for themselves as well as their family members. The gifts are wrapped at the store for Christmas by volunteers.

Each year approximately 20 children are chosen for this program. With the aid of Wal-Mart, Chick Fil A, and other local businesses, we along with COPS are able to strengthen our relationship with the community as well as help families who need a little extra holiday cheer.
